Most Commonly Asked Plumbing Questions

In our time, we have dealt with a substantial amount of plumbing situations. Every home or commercial visit, our customers will have questions for us that we are happy to answer.  In our years of experience, certain questions are asked more than others. Here is a list of the most common questions we receive and the answers to them.

How do I make my plumbing components and water heater last?

This is a simple answer. By installing a water softener, there will be less build-up of scum in your pipes and faucets. This will keep them cleaner and lasting longer. It also helps you use your water more efficiently.

Why does my faucet drip?

There are malfunctions inside the faucet or pipes. It is a cheap fix for us to come in and replace what is malfunctioning. For future reference, your faucets will last longer if you gently turn them off rather than vigorously.

Why is there an awful smell that comes from the toilet every time I flush?

When that happens, it means the toilet wax ring is not sealed to the ground properly. There is air in the drain before the water comes down. When the toilet wax ring is properly sealed, the water pushed the air down the drain. When the toilet wax ring is not sealed right, then the air is pushed through the bottom of the toilet and the floor. To eliminate this odor from coming out of the toilet, you need to reseal the toilet and clear the main vent.

What is allowed to go in my garbage disposal?

It will be easier if I make a list of Okay and Not Okay.
